Residential Proxy (Ban Protection) New

The Residential Proxy feature routes your WhatsApp messages through location-specific proxy servers to protect your WhatsApp numbers from bans and ensure stable connections. When you add a WhatsApp number to your CRM, you can configure it with a residential proxy that matches your phone's physical location for optimal performance.

This feature automatically routes all your WhatsApp messages through secure residential proxy servers located in 195+ countries. Unlike datacenter proxies, residential proxies use real IP addresses from internet service providers, making your connection appear as if it's coming from a genuine home or mobile network—exactly like a regular WhatsApp user.

How to Activate Residential Proxy

The proxy feature is automatically available when you add a new WhatsApp number. Here's how to configure it:

Steps

  1. Log into your CRM and navigate to the WhatsApp section in your sidebar
  2. Click the blue "Add New WhatsApp Number" button in the top-right corner
  3. In the "Add New WhatsApp Number" modal, you'll see the Proxy Location dropdown (marked with a "Beta" badge)
  4. Click the dropdown and select the country where your phone is physically located
    • For example: If you have a USA number but your phone is in Mexico, select Mexico
    • The proxy location should always match your device's physical location, not the number's country code
  5. Review the visual explanation showing how the proxy works:
    • Your Phone → Proxy Server (near you) → WhatsApp
  6. Click the "Add WhatsApp Number" button to complete setup
  7. Follow the standard QR code scanning process to connect your WhatsApp

That's it! Your WhatsApp instance is now protected with a residential proxy.

Critical

The proxy location must match where your physical device is located, not where your phone number is from.

  • Wrong: USA number + USA proxy, but phone is in Australia
  • Correct: USA number + Australia proxy, because the phone is in Australia
tip

Select the proxy location during initial setup. While you can change it later by managing the WhatsApp instance, it's best to choose correctly from the start.

How to Use

When adding a new WhatsApp number through the "Add New WhatsApp Number" button:

  1. Select your proxy location from the dropdown (195+ countries available)
  2. The proxy is automatically configured and activated
  3. Scan the QR code as normal to connect your WhatsApp
  4. All messages will now route through the selected proxy automatically

Understanding Proxy Location Selection

The Golden Rule: Choose the country where your phone is physically located right now.

What Happens Behind the Scenes

When you send a WhatsApp message through your CRM:

  1. Your message leaves the CRM system
  2. It routes through the residential proxy server in your selected location
  3. The proxy forwards it to WhatsApp's servers
  4. WhatsApp sees the message coming from a legitimate residential IP in the correct location
  5. The recipient receives your message normally

This process is completely transparent to you and your recipients—they won't notice any difference.

Why Location Matching Matters

WhatsApp monitors for suspicious patterns, including:

  • Messages originating from datacenter IPs
  • Location mismatches (e.g., Mexican number sending from Russian IPs)
  • Rapid IP changes or unusual network behavior

By routing through a residential proxy that matches your actual location, you:

  • Appear as a genuine local WhatsApp user
  • Avoid triggering WhatsApp's anti-spam algorithms
  • Maintain stable, consistent connections
  • Significantly reduce ban risk

Combining with Other Ban Prevention Features

For maximum protection against bans, use the Residential Proxy feature together with:

Drip Mode (Message Queuing)

  • Paces your messages at a controlled rate (e.g., 1 message every 15 seconds)
  • Prevents burst sending that triggers spam detection
  • Configure in Settings → Message Queuing
  • Learn more about Drip Mode

Spintax Messaging

  • Randomizes message content to avoid repetitive patterns
  • Makes bulk messages appear more natural and unique
  • Learn more about Spintax

Smart Mode

  • Intelligent message optimization and timing
  • Automatically adjusts sending patterns based on account health

Troubleshooting

"Proxy connection failed" error

Solution:

  1. Verify you selected the correct location
  2. Try selecting a neighboring country
  3. Contact support if the issue persists

Slow message delivery

Cause: This is normal during initial setup. Proxy connections may take 30-60 seconds to establish.

Solution: Wait a few minutes. If speed doesn't improve after 5 minutes, check your internet connection.

WhatsApp disconnects frequently

Possible causes:

  • Wrong proxy location selected
  • Your device location has changed
  • Network instability on your end

Solution:

  1. Update the proxy location to match your current physical location
  2. Check if you're using a VPN (disable it or update proxy accordingly)
  3. Restart your WhatsApp instance

Changing location while traveling

Question: I'm traveling from India to the USA. Do I need to update my proxy?

Answer: Yes! Update your proxy location in the Manage settings for your WhatsApp instance to match your new location (USA in this case).

FAQs

Is the residential proxy included in my plan?

Yes! Every WhatsApp instance in your plan includes one residential proxy at no additional cost. This is built into the platform and included with your subscription.

How many countries are available?

We offer residential proxies in 195+ countries worldwide, covering virtually every region where WhatsApp operates.

Can I use multiple proxies for one WhatsApp number?

No. Each WhatsApp instance can be configured with one proxy location at a time. However, you can change the proxy location whenever needed (e.g., when traveling).

Does this guarantee my account won't be banned?

No service can guarantee 100% ban prevention. However, residential proxies significantly reduce ban risk by making your connection appear legitimate. Combine with Drip Mode, Spintax, and good practices (opt-ins, quality content) for best results.

What happens if I select the wrong location?

WhatsApp may flag the inconsistency between your actual location and the proxy location. This could increase ban risk. Always update your proxy location to match where you physically are.

Do I need a VPN if I'm using a residential proxy?

No. In fact, using both a VPN and our residential proxy can cause conflicts. Disable your VPN when using the proxy feature, or update your proxy location to match your VPN's exit location.

Can recipients tell I'm using a proxy?

No. Recipients see your messages exactly as they would from any other WhatsApp user. The proxy is completely transparent on their end.

How do I know if my proxy is working?

Once configured, your proxy works automatically in the background. You can verify it's active by checking that your messages are sending normally and you're not experiencing disconnections. The platform handles all proxy management automatically.

Does using a proxy slow down my messages?

There may be a minimal delay (typically under 1 second) as messages route through the proxy server. This is negligible and won't be noticed by you or your recipients under normal circumstances.

What if the proxy in my country isn't working well?

Contact our support team. We can investigate and may be able to recommend an alternative nearby location or troubleshoot the specific issue.

Can I disable the proxy feature?

While technically possible, we strongly recommend keeping it enabled for account protection. If you need to disable it for any reason, contact support for assistance.
