Do not create new Contacts

What it is

Stops auto‑creating CRM contacts when messages arrive from unknown numbers. No new contact records are created automatically via this integration.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Locations → WhatsApp Numbers
  2. Open an instance (e.g., WhatsApp #1)
  3. In the right panel, enable “Do not create new Contacts”

Instance‑level only. Each WhatsApp number can have its own setting.

How it works

  • Disabled (default): inbound messages from unknown numbers create a new contact
  • Enabled: inbound messages from unknown numbers do not create a new contact

No impact on existing contacts or manual contact creation.

When to use

  • You want to keep the CRM clean during trials/POCs
  • Lead capture happens elsewhere (forms, checkout, internal tools)

Notes & limitations

  • Does not retroactively delete existing contacts
  • Applies only to the selected instance; other instances are unaffected
